What We Believe

Statement of Faith

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired word of God and the basis for our beliefs. This church subscribes to the doctrinal statement of “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention in 2000. We voluntarily bond ourselves together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ personally committed to sharing the good news of salvation to lost mankind. The ordinances of the church are Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.

… about God

God is the author and creator of all life and the entire universe. He made man in His own image and established fellowship with him. After man’s rebellion into sin, God sought to re-establish fellowship by sending His only son, Jesus, to be the atonement for all sin to all who will believe. Today, God is ready and eager to pour out His love to all who will come to Jesus. Genesis 1:1; Genesis 1:26-27; Genesis 3; John 3:16; Hebrews 7:25

… about Jesus

Jesus is the son of God. As the only One capable of making atonement, He came to this earth to be the perfect sacrifice for the sins of this world. He lived a perfect life and gave Himself freely. He was crucified for our sins and died on the cross. In three days, He was raised to life. After a period of time, He ascended into Heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God this very moment making intercession believers. One day soon, He is returning to claim His kingdom and His people. John 1:1-3; Isaiah 9:6-7; John 14:6; Hebrews 7:25; Revelation 19:11-16

He has worked throughout the ages to bring glory to God and inspire and empower men to speak and write concerning the Truth that is Jesus Christ. John 16:5-15; 1 Corinthians 2:12
